![]() Saamet, Johanna, Susann and Simon NVCO03 ... Simon Haque from the legendary class of NVCO03! =) .. First of all, it is very hard to believe that I have now spent more time at KTH than at Sjödalsgymnasiet, but that's the truth. As you might remember, I chose to study Engineering Applied Physics (“Teknisk Fysik", KTH), much thanks to your recommendations. The first three years consisted of some basic and some advanced courses in mathematics and physics, for example Calculus in both one and multiple variables, Electromagnetic theory, Modern and Solid State Physics etc. Even if it has been difficult at times, I certainly do not regret my choice of path and I would like to thank you a lot for all the advice you gave me throughout the years at Sjödalsgymnasiet! The fact that one had to perform something special to receive a good grade in your class has been very valuable here at KTH where it can sometimes be really tough to get an A. But thanks to your teaching I was able to achieve a grade average of around 4.1 (out of 5) during the first 3 years and I am quite pleased with that. My phone number is 0737272396 and my e-mail address is shaque@kth.se. Sincerely yours, Från: Simon Haque [shaque@kth.se] To any ninth grader who is about to embark on their exciting high school future,If You are anxious about which programme that is right for You, don't be alarmed. I remember those nerve wrecking days back in 2003 (!) when I had absolutely no idea about what to choose. Social studies vs. natural science? A school close to home so I could practice ice hockey during the days vs. a school closer to the the city? It was difficult because it felt like such an important desicion. My future was at stake! Well maybe not that dramatical.. Anyway, today I can honestly say that I am very pleased that I chose INS (or NVCO as it was called before the iPhone). INS is a challenging yet fun programme. You will go through a period of life which prepares You in the best possible way for higher education. The teachers demand a lot from You, but will repay You with great enthusiasm and the drive to release all Your potential. At the same time You will meet new friends who You will bond and share unforgettable times with. For example, my class went to Poland on exchange and had the best time! Everytime I meet one of my former classmates today we talk and laugh for hours discussing that fantastic trip! I can guarantee that You will also have something great to remember from Your time at the INS programme in five years or so. The most obvious advantage of INS is of course the English. If You want to obtain an academic degree it is absolutely essential that You know English. Almost all course litterature is written in it and if You look even further into the future, even Swedish companies are broadening their networks internationally and English is the true business language of choice Another feature of INS - which I maybe appreciate more today as an engineering student - is that You have to work hard for Your grades. It may sound horrible, but trust me it has helped me more than I can even begin to describe. Studying at an higher level is very tough, but with the excellent guidance that I recieved from the teachers at INS I have managed to cope well. So to conclude. If You're looking for a challenge to combine with great friendships then INS is definitely for You. Furthermore, it gives You competence in English and a solid ground to stand on when it's time for higher education. You will not regret Your choice, I know I haven't! Simon Haque (NVCO03)
Johan Kvastad, NVCO 05
Martin Larsson NVCO05 |
